"The bullet originated from the exact location that an Israeli gun had been just seconds before. However, our reporters blinked and we cannot be sure who shot it."

The metal projectile which caused the deceasement of an employee of an American media company came from the direction of an area which also happened to have many trees, dirt, and also a convoy belonging to the nation that borders Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea

Fact check: did an IDF soldier murder Shireen Abu Akleh?

While we have seen video footage of what appears to be an IDF soldier bragging about killing Ms Abu Akleh, we have yet to confirm that the footage is genuine, and not a deep fake or hoax. We also cannot rule out the possibility that the soldier was speaking metaphorically, or attempting credit for something they did not do. Furthermore, we cannot say for certain that it was murder until judgment is passed in a court of law, and the Israeli prosecutorial office has confirmed it does not intend to press charges.

Therefore, we rate this ‘Mostly False’.

The way this is written I'm surprised they even acknowledge it as a bullet and not like, "High kinetic energy, semi-conic mass of lead"

If they're willing to go this far with the passive voice, then they might as well just lie about it outright and say a tiny meteor killed the journalist. Just call it an act of god and be done with it
