I have nothing against you personally but it's incredibly frustrating that you brought up balkanization specifically in response to Democrats dabbing on anyone expecting them to do something useful
Balkanization only makes sense within the context of two factions that have actual opposing interests. The Dems don't really give that much of a shit about gun control, they only pass token legislation whenever one of the kids the FBI gave an AK to gets too rowdy. They don't care about police violence, dems cracked down on the Floyd protests with reckless violence. They don't care about abortion, see Celluar. They're both parties controlled top to bottom by capital, and in many cases by the exact same donors. That fracture would only make interstate business even harder and potentially open up an avenue to the left. Who's even pushing to leave the union, other than the right which as we see already have control over every lever of power?
Yes, the Dem base doesn't want to live in the same country as the qanon dipshits. Even when their objections to them just aren't on cultural grounds, like abortion, the party doesn't give a shit. They hate their voters and you, the reader, who god I hope are two different entities.
