It was definitely a joke on /r/cth. We haven’t had a reason to self-censor until now because this ruling is so egregious.

No they should say nothing and threaten a to ban anyone that even jokes about it being a thing. Acknowledging that this information exist is the same as making a threat, no further warnings.
