same. even voicing this opinion irl would never be taken seriously. colonizer societies must make huge efforts to actively distance themselves from nazi germany because they have the same trajectory. the nazis way back then had to deal with the huge communist movement, and actually get blood on their hands, but that isn't necessary here and now (to a comparable extent). since liberals are so fixated on violence, they sleepwalk through this fascist wave even calmer than before

It feels like there's no institutional push back or organized resistance at all. The SCOTUS doesn't command a single soldier and everyone in the country has just decided to let them upend everything out of an idiotic belief that they have authority. The Democrats seem to have abandoned even the idea of their pathetic liberal democracy, letting the GOP strangle them inch by inch by cutting away at voting rights.
