Sometimes it's nice to think about the world we're fighting for, and one way I do that is by picturing some goal I'd love to complete without capitalism fucking up my shit. It makes me want to see that world that much more, and it keeps me going.

Personally, I would love to create an animated series similar to Avatar the Last Airbender or Castlevania.

What about you?

I'll help, we could legit do this. Imagine ultra comfy high speed trains for multi-day train trips. Fall asleep in Beijing, wake up two days later in LA.

Unfucking the food system. It could be accomplished with today amounts of money by people who currently exist, but too much profit depends on keeping it inefficient in a surprise twist on how I'm told capitalism is supposed to operate.

I've always wanted to completely buy out an episode of Chopped to where the judges aren't allowed to vote me off and meanwhile I break several rules, drink cooking sherry during the competition, fail to use all of the ingredients, make the worst dish, go 15 minutes over the time limit, and still win by the end of it while the judge makes snarky, not so subtle remarks about how "While u/Ho_chi_Chungus's dish failed to meet the criteria, due to the stipulations placed on us due to our generous benefactors of today's contest, we must eliminate [other contestant]"

In a less stupid answer, I want to own a tiny ass diner with like 20 seats that I work by myself in a paper hat

Not really into art but it's pretty nice. Something like that but smaller, maybe

The takeover of a reality show would be a beautiful piece of performance art.

For the good of all: Get everyone set up in advance with shelter and the required amount of food and other preparations, and then we hold a global 2-month quarantine, eliminating huge swaths of communicable diseases at once.

Dumb personal projects: A climbing gym where instead of boring simulations of rocks, we constantly invite guest sculptors to build wild-ass shit to climb on.

If we're talking personal treats, i would love a home theater/library. big ass projector. cozy little lamps for reading. fireplace. big ass comfy couch for cuddling

But my dream would be a 24/7 free community kitchen. come in, get food. that's it.

I love both. And I see the similar essence of comfort in both. I'd also love to help run a community kitchen

Honestly, normalizing community kitchens would be great. Free food for the everyone, regardless of income. Remove the stigma.

Large Scale: I've always loved the idea of community workshops/makerspaces and if I had the money/power, it would be awesome to fund them in as many communities as possible so that people have the means to easily repair and build stuff themselves.

More Personal: Basically that, but in my garage, including stuff like a relatively inexpensive CNC, decent 3D printers, etc. Basically the means to manufacture almost anything I would want to make at home.

Found my alt! This is what I want to do too. I've tentatively decided to call it The Means

That's a great name! I also wanted to say that I kind of envision it as necessary for a (hopefully) future society that's not nearly as consumerist as our current. Sure, plenty of things will be made in factories still, of course, but those things will ideally be made to last forever, as long as citizens have the means to refurbish and repair with these local facilities. Also, plenty of custom items would be better suited for small local workshops. Not just hardware, either, but furniture, clothing, stickers, whatever.
