I know this is a drop in the water to the rest of the horrible shit that went on during the colonization of Americas, but it feels like the middle-finger shaped cherry on top. Capitalists have made the Americas fucking UGLY.

Sure, there are some exceptions like,Mexico City, Havana, Montreal, Carmel-by-the-sea, and quaint small towns in New England and Canada, but a large majority of North America is just nothing but strip malls and highways, and people seem OKAY with this.

I unironically think that the ugliness of the US contributes to the regular mass shootings.

Sometimes I like browsing real estate sites and looking at homes. Any home. Sometimes in the suburbs. Sometimes in the city. Just something to make me feel :doomer:

Yeah those walking videos are awesome, I remember some great ones of towns in the Amalfi coast, tho those places are completely tourism-oriented now.

Look at all that shade, too. Imagine going all the way through town without being exposed to direct sunlight the whole way.

White people literally want to replace this with a highway chock full of pickup trucks in a perma traffic jam because they are too snooty to walk past a brown person.

You might enjoy Jingle Jangle, a Christmas movie released on Netflix. The costume and design aesthetic has been described as Afro-Victorian.

If this is The Shambles in York then I fully recommend going to visit it. The whole city is very beautiful imo. It's got a very whimsical feel to it.

The Minster is also a spectacular piece of architecture in York. And Jorvik which is like a Viking York museum built around a little archeological site.

Also I fully recommend visiting during Christmas.

Edit - I've been informed that it's not. I'm still shilling for York.

Those places are still there. Imagine wanting your nice alley full of cafes serving boiled cabbage instead of kebab shops and korean bbq. Clearly and improvement.

I remember this tourist trap alley in Paris across the river from the Notre Dame that was full of greek restaurants and creppes stands, it was very cartoonish like the image.

Anyways, back in the cabbage soup days white people used to like using spices
