I remember it being bad for years but I got a bucket of fried chicken and was pleasantly surprised. On par with the fried chicken my grocery store makes.

I used to really like it, but I left the country for two years and came back and now I hate it. Dunno if having real Japanese food just ruined my palette for American slop or if they changed something, but it used to be a go-to comfort food for me and now it's "I'm not even gonna bother having a slice" when I get offered it for free.

Little Caesars is good for the price. Sauce is decent, crazy bread is great, very greasy so it's a good pairing with a stronger-tasting non-lite beer.

It's hard to eat it without feeling like shit after but I have no complaints. Mom+pop pizza+wing places are better but way more expensive.

Probably depends on who runs the franchise, I think a lot of places are hit or miss.

Church's and Popeye's are better I think. My grocery store just re-fries frozen chicken, it used to make their own that was pretty good.

I've kind of wanted to buy MarionK 99X spice mix which is the original KFC spice mix (they got it from his wife or something), but it's meant for restaurants so you can only buy 2kg bags.

way, way back in 2008 Checkers had the best fried chicken

The discontinued Wendy's chipotle sauce was bangin back then too, and the condiment tubs were huge

It doesn't taste bad but it makes me feel like garbage. Yes, obviously deep fried and breaded chicken will do that, but I legitimately think it is exacerbated by the oil they use or something (I don't think other fried chicken causes as bad a reaction). I dunno, I've been really limiting my meat and garbage food intake more and more as I grow older, maybe I can't tolerate much anymore

I thought all KFC was trash because I used to get sick each time I ate there (my parents wanted to keep trying it to see if it got better) but it turned out that it wasn't KFC in general, just ours. They were cooking meth and selling it. I've had it since at a different location and it was good, but I prefer Popeye's.

I once attended an event before opening time where we all got a tour behind the scenes fried our own chicken and it remains to this day the best fried chicken I have ever had - KFC is usually shit though

KFC has gotten a lot better in the past 5 years or so. It went from straight greasy slop to pretty decent.

They changed it semi-recently because I also swear it used to be the worst fried chicken. At around the same time kfc got good Popeyes got worse too.

I'm not singing it's praises but I don't hate it. That said, I also rarely eat fast food. And call me weird as fuck, but if I'm eating shit food I need to have Diet Coke and KFC only carries Pepsi.

And yeah, that's all it takes to sway me to eat at Popeyes.

Still pisses me off Costco switched to Pepsi.
