live usb is much much slower than an actual install though because of terrible usb reading speeds and the real graphics drivers might not load until installation
I revitalized a 10lb Sony vaio I found in my grandpa's garage that was so old it had Netscape navigator on it just by installing linux

all you Live USB Enjoyers :gigachad-hd: out there, if you can get ventoy on your stick, it's awesome, the main benefit is that instead of dicking around with weird CLI commands or giant GUIs, you just copy and paste the ISOs onto the ventoy installed USB drive.
