My best friend from second grade got me watch a Rubin video with the IDW. It was like a hour long circle jerk where no one says anything particularly interesting or noteworthy. We paused it a few times to talk about our thoughts. After it ends, dude starts talking cancel culture explaining that if everyone gets canceled no one will speak, then talks about the absurdity of 36 genders.

I almost lost my patience when he was waffling on giving nazis platforms.

Any advice to move from chud central ?

The Shapiro response vids from hbomberguy and philosophytube are good so we can do that next week. One of the things he’s done is that he has a created “leftists” in his head who decide what is and what isn’t allowable speech such that it disallows controversy altogether even potentially scientific dialogues (he thinks IQ measures intelligence except when he says it doesn’t)

Shaun has a good video on The Bell Curve that also goes into what a sham IQ is.

Me too! There was a whole lot going on and I'm not sure I took it all in. Revisiting it sometime is probably a good idea for me too.

I’m not gender studies expert and neither is he but he railed against it nonetheless as being a useless field of study based on the potential financial success of a graduate. I was getting tired last night just said that “if you’re saying it’s unimportant then let others do what they will and have their speech, it doesn’t infringe on you at all.”

He didn’t buy it. He even asked “why should we care because they (LGBTQ folks) are not even a large percentage of the population?”

The sort of level of inhumanity here is pretty bleak. Even that caught me off guard.
