My dog does this with paper products as well, she will take tissues out of the box one by one and tear them up. Mostly she sticks to food and anything that smells even remotely like food. Still trying to train my GF not to leave food in her work bag, or at least leave the bag somewhere that the animals can't reach. Our two cats will also remove food items from unsecured areas. If it's not in a cabinet, it's not safe.
