They may well have simply said "Place your hands behind your back, you're under arrest."

I certainly don't know and basically don't care, but what's the correct way to take a bookin'? Optics wise? What style of arrest would you prefer?

She was told to put her hands behind her back and did so. She was arrested.

Compliance is weakness when in a position of power. A member of congress can get away with mad shit: no excuse not to

was she ? In the pics of the other members getting arrest most didnt have their hands behind their back and no one reacted to her raising her fist after that or tried to bring her hand down. Its just as likely that its performative. The other person held by the same cop has their hands by their side for the entirety of the video

Have none of y'all been arrested before? Pigs don't always handcuff people, they'll tell you to put your hands behind your back.

Wonder if they let her ride up front. I’m 6’6” and I could barely fit in the back seat while handcuffed

she was tweeting and sending foundraiser messages within half an hour of this. These congress members didnt even get arrested , they were moved 30 feet to the side and were made to show IDs . Some where even taking pics with cops afterward

    pretending

is this normal alt right gaslighting or is there evidence to justify this word?

Edit: I didn't notice the absence of handcuffs in the pic before, also this pic is the first I'm hearing about it.

Bougie white people don’t know that handcuffs aren’t mandatory, but putting your hands behind your back is. They just were gentle with her because she’s a public figure

most of the other senators that were "arrested" didnt have their hands on their backs and literally no one tried to bring hers down or even reacted when she raised it to make a fist. The other person held by the same cop is chilling with their hands by their side for the entirety of the video lol

The cops know that no sitting congress person would ever try anything. It'd be a PR disaster.
