I blame whoever it was that mentioned chud games the other day.
Let's see if I can actually finish it this time. :internet-delenda-est:
I played it through again for the first time in like a decade, definitely get the TSLRCM mod it's restores loads of cut content and has been endorsed by the original devs and is painless to install
I just get caught up in doing things a certain/right way with games like this.
whether it be planet/quest order, or who to take with you. etc.do you remember if anyone leaves the party at a certain point like Bastilla getting kidnapped in the first game?
there is a point where you can't use your main character
and at the end of the game there is a similar-ish thing yeah
hard to give details without spoilers lol
they are all that i remember off the top of my headI vaguely know what happens during the game, so I'm not that concerned with spoilers.
but also a vague "it happens after you go to x many places" or whatever could also be helpful, if you remember.ok, the bit where you can't use your MC happens on a specific planet
spoiler
Nar'Shadaa
and the end game bit happens after you have visited every planet
spoiler
ah Nar Shadaa was where I stopped playing last time.
Your companion choice on that world depends on your alignment.
spoiler
I think you only get the wookie if your evil when you go properly into the gas bar.
You can only lose companions other then this by your own explicit choice (if you even can lol)
I think calling it OCD is over selling it a bit, but idk what would be a better term
Do you experience compulsions in other ways? Or is it just with KOTOR/games and how you play them? Usually OCD depends on the performance of rituals in an attempt to reassure a person about an obsessive fear, and it needs to rise above a certain level of disruption to life enjoyment.
You may be experiencing this in a way with this game, but it's possible to experience the symptoms of a particular mental illness without necessarily "having" it. It all depends on how disruptive it happens to be for you in the pursuit of a happy life.
yeah, to be clear, I don't believe I have actual OCD.
but in some games, especially RPGs, if I don't do things in an ideal way I will restart until I do because it feels wrong.
Like talking to one NPC before another, or doing a task a certain way.
It's a bit compulsive, so idk how else to describe it.
I just started it on Switch last night. But I just found out that in the next couple months they’re gonna release a Restored Content DLC for the switch, so I guess I’m gonna hold off until that comes out
I saw an article about that exact bug, it’s apparently been fixed in the newest patch. I’ve been saving super often to make sure I don’t get screwed but since I’m only an hour in I’m gonna stop and wait for the restored content
Playing kotor 1 on switch currently and enjoy getting dialogue options to dunk on :LIB: Jedi
