At first I wondered if the the tweet was random speculation by a rando. But she's a national security reporter.

Five. The fifth time he gets it - he gets such a bad case of long covid - even pics of him at his desk "working" don't fool anybody. His speeches are taped. Sleuths on Reddit and Twitter determine that the lighting and other visual elements indicate they are deep fakes. #DeepFakeBiden trends.

Mainstream dems are angry and appalled. They try and fail to get #RespectBiden to trend. They get more angry and more appalled. Lawrence O'Donnell goes ballistic one night and rants off-script for 10 minutes.

"Young people with no respect for anyone or anything are damaging the president and the presidency. And yada yada yada norms, civility, the discourse and shit." The very next day MSNBC issues a terse statement that he's going on vacation starting immediately.

The next week MSNBC finally gets on the bandwagon with the media that there are serious "questions" about the validity of the videos. Chris Hayes says: "The president has not been seen in public for five weeks. Why? The White House must tell use what's going on and do so promptly." But they don't.

Biden is AWOL in the four months before the election. He loses in a landslide but that's okay for him because fact-based rumors are spreading that his "minor brain fog" means he has little idea what's happening. He's even having trouble remembering who Jill is. The only thing that seems to be keeping his body and brain alive is his mantra "I am the president." He says it every day at least 30 times.
