At first I wondered if the the tweet was random speculation by a rando. But she's a national security reporter.
I think we can both agree that the office doesn't really have any actual power, our democracy down to the local level is a complete fucking joke and only exists to diffuse class struggle. There can't be any meaningful policy differences between our heads of state. Within that context, Harris is the best possible option in both "hey, look how your participation in this sham is debasing and pointless" (especially when the person who beats her in the 2024 general operates 99 percent exactly like she would have because we live in the 4th Reich) and "what would be the funniest fucking option"
