Ah yes, that fateful day. About two months after I got furloughed for COVID, and entered the discord, saw it was a mess and said "Hey, need some temporary mod help to keep out CHUDs?" And some person I didn't know went "Oh yeah, this person is on a few other big Leftist discords and is pretty cool!" And I was unceremoniously made a mod. Good times, bad for my mental health in the end. At least I was an Interim site admin for a bit!
I had no idea a subreddit like that existed? Did someone make it to impersonate me? That was happening a lot to me as well. People making accounts that were almost but not quite BiowarfarePosadist, nowadays I go more by MissPosadas though. I don't want to give up this account though, cause I have the site id#69, lol.
Did someone make it to impersonate me?
no, it was a [replace nuclear armegaddon with covid/pandemic] neo-Posadist subreddit.
Okay, that's kind of what the joke in my name is. I just say that nuclear war is too environmentally unfriendly.
When Chapo was kil, i was in the middle of my first day off in over a week. Needless to say, finishing my lunch only to see the ban hammer hit was a weird way to be told to log off.
I remember posting in that thread and feeling the overall vibe was that it was coming and then I refreshed the page and it was gone. All my shitposts. Gone.
I remember everyone was saying they didnt care if it was banned and was encouraging reddit to do it lol
I remember I woke up pretty late that day and saw all the posts about the sub getting banned and i was like "lol they wont" and joined the ark discord and logged off, next time i logged on it was banned
Somewhere I have the HTML of the final state of the sub, just saved as right before it went down.
It was jarring to be reading the sub and see it banned right there and then. I click home to see more posts about what the admins were doing and -- poof.
