Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/asbmil ~ ASB Military News, banned from Twitter.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday Patrick Lancaster - crowd-funded U.S journalist, mostly pro-Russian, works on the ground near warzones to report news and talk to locals.

https://t.me/riafan_everywhere ~ Think it's a government news org or Federal News Agency? Russian language.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ Front news coverage. Russian langauge.

https://t.me/rybar ~ Russian language.

Pro-Ukraine

With the entire western media sphere being overwhelming pro-Ukraine already, you shouldn't really need more, but:

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Please defend your position that Zelensky should not have surrendered. Defend your position that he should not surrender now if that's what you think.

I don't see the point. You can't defend it without also defending civilian conscripts being forced to die for America to jack itself off for making putler step on a lego.

Yet we have people here upvoting them. I didn't realize vaushites visit this site.

I’ve noticed an increase in Vaushite activity recently, lots of defense of Taiwan independence, attacking “Iranian imperialism” in Iraq, anti-Russia diatribes, etc.

It seems the recent ban wave of the more vocal anti-imperialists like Z-poster is having its downstream effects as the chauvinists feel empowered to reveal themselves

I mean look at this fucking shit. Unban Z-poster, let slip the dogs of war against these libs to bully them

Baffling there exist online 'leftists' that don't do the bare minimum to reject US propaganda

            Zposter was cool what happened

It's good for libs to find this site, but people who follow these uh....youtubers or use subreddits of a certain uhh ...ideology have had every opportunity to pick up a fucking book and have only doubled down on their incoherent worldview. Every one of them ive interacted with has the same talking points straight from the state dept. They should be bullied off the site because they are the worst kind of liberal.

i have to agree, there has been a very noticeable uptick of these users in the past few months. Also, almost all of them don't ever seem to get banned too.

i suppose it's one of the consequences of this website growing too big and a general failure in calling out the liberals and other trolls that keep poping in every few weeks.

Sounds like we need to make a pact.

I solemnly swear that after discovering a troll or unabashed lib I will bully them.

this is based. take all the va*shites, the wreckers, trolls and liberals and shove them into a locker. then we push the locker somewhere far away from this site where they can't pose any more cognitohazardous threats

no no no. We cant kick them all out just because they are ignorant. Ignorance can be fixed. We just need to make them feel shame for espousing other people's stupid ideas and then encourage them to look deeper. You wouldn't get mad at a child for not knowing something they were never taught. If they refuse to look into the material situation more closely and repeat lies even when they are debunked then we should ban them. We need to remember that many liberals are just a kick and a push from realizing the truth.

I don't want to defend Zelensky, I have met many Ukrainian people though both when visiting the vacation several years back and now with many of them being refugees here in the Netherlands. Most of these people truly were hoping that their country could've been autonomous from Russian influence. They have already fought for their independence many times in history and are rightly afraid that if Ukraine surrenders the country will reverse it's developments on humanitarian progress and opportunities for future generations. Before you start about how Ukraine is also racist that it's corrupt etc etc, yeah everyone knows that especially the Ukrainians I spoke to. The fact that they are aware of it shows that the country can improve and at the very least do better in these regards then when it was a vassal state of Russia.

Yeah, that worked out very well to every other former east bloc country.
