Very cool and normal society we have.
The thing I like most here is the repeated use of the word 'drug addict' in way that makes it clear that the rich understand and like the idea that the social narratives around addiction function to create an underclass whose treatment can be justified by the fiction that their circumstances are the result of a defect of volition that makes them unworthy of society's protection.
The lack of terror is becoming inexcusable.
me taking cocaine to prepare for my martini meeting, martini during martini meeting, vicodin to relax after my martini meeting, the daily, customary nice glass of red, and a klonopin to sleep right
You smoking weed to relax after working 12 hours in a kitchen: useless fucking drugaddict, do something!

:yea:
I don't feel good, ever, without being high, and I'm tired of feeling like a drug addict when it's not like anybody questions anti depressants. So what if I'm self medicating, I know what I'm about son
It doesn't help that there's a reason why it's is literally called "LOUD". The most harmless drug out of all of these and yet it's the only one that stays in your system long enough to fail a drug test and every time you smoke it you might as well scream 'I'M DOING DRUGS, EVERYONE"
I assume he used drug addict instead of homeless because he probably figured there would be more backlash.
there's a pretty strong propaganda push to make those two words synonyms of each other so i'm not even sure of that anymore
Yeah if he has just made a bet with one of his friends over whether they could get from point A to point B without getting hit, it would just be a normal rowdy afternoon with the boys. The weird part comes in with paying drug-addicted poor people to be your victim instead of just it being a bet with friends. There is an aspect of financial coercion and classism, which is what makes it gross and what these guys actually think is fun about this scenario.
They could do this game with another one of their rich buds, but that hits different than coercing victims from the underclass “other” that they can all align against and laugh at. They would be “laughing with” their friend, but they are “laughing at” this poor man - and they only get their jollies from laughing at others.
Money makes you cruel, because it allows you to dominate and enslave others around you but feel charitable and benevolent while you do it
Seriously, this disturbed me a lot more than the story itself did (which is more than a little).
The only way he can redeem himself now is by revealing the drug addict was Hunter Biden.
I wonder how much Ben would pay to not be hunted for sport?🤔
Would want to give him the full experience and let him know there wouldn't be paintballs.
Right, I'm sure the wealthy have been hunting the homeless on private islands for a long time, they just don't tell the public about it.
It was a fun and funny thing that everyone enjoyed
So does Ben think that,
A: his target enjoyed being hunted over miles for the price of one video game, or,
B: 'everyone' does not include his target?
I'd give it 2/3 odds for B, personally
Can envision future progeny ranting on social media about how their family worked very hard and had everything taken away by the communist regime.
I wouldn't want to put in the effort for just $50 but I could probably make it 3 miles before the head start is even over unless it's on a fucking mountain, i'd love to trick this shit into paying me and then laugh when he doesn't even get to "play"
In Ben's defense, Mother Jones used to do this same shit all the time for kicks. It was fun and funny
I would probably do this tbh and then also bring a handgun for once he was alone in the woods
