I sometimes do not understand the hate that people have towards JP.

I like JP’s social views on relationships, habits, parenting, men & women, etc. and he’s one of the most renowned psychologists in the world. Why so much hate? Genuine question.

Thanks

I don't understand how people still find JP to be a worthwhile "role-model" sort of figure when he was so whacked-the-fuck-out on benzos that he had to be put into a medically induced coma and resuscitated in some old dilapidated post-soviet hospitable. That's low-tier mid-aughts straight-to-dvd horror movie shit.

Also he's a rabid anticommunist, but his daughter got knocked-up by a "communist" who thinks he's possessed by the ghost of Stalin and some other unrelated ghost named "Igor". Also he just breaks into fucking tears over shit that doesn't even make sense. Just, why?

Honestly a JP biopic in the style of David Lynch would be great.

Old man wakes up from a coma in a hospital of that description, seeing visions of his wife dead, trying to parse memories of a Slovenian cocaine addict humiliating him on stage, and being told that his daughter was impregnated by a communist who is possessed by a demon.

Because daddy issues induced by collapsing psychopathic mode of production.

Pretty sure all lobsters come from petite bourgeois families. Discuss.

My ex was a huge JP fan about ten years ago, before he got all unhinged about the Canadian pronoun law or whatever. She grew up dirt poor and never knew her dad. I think he just generally appeals to people with bad relationships with their dads, so like 80% of westerners.
