there's an inverted pyramid of conservative intelligence. at the base top you've got your think tank fellows and your corporate lobbyists, people who can technically string a sentence together. as you head deeper, you meet the libertarians, the small business owners, the militia larpers, the Qanon and facebook boomers, and finally, at the very nadir are the geek fascists. these people would throw up if they had to read a book. their beliefs are incomprehensible and inconsistent because their only guiding principle is that of a howling infant demanding milky and blanky, and to that end they've adopted the most diseased talking points and catchphrases of everyone else in the pyramid.

Sure, but almost everybody else in the pyramid thinks that driving an EV transforms you into literally Pete Buttigieg, which is hardly surprising given that these people operate in a media bubble largely bankrolled by oil billionaire families. My only explanation for this so far is that the particular geek fascists behind this are raging Musk fanboi techbros.

Dinosaurs were problematic, therefore it's punching up to use their liquified remains as fuel.
