Reposting this because the original post looked sketchy with this url: https://98jj7r.csb.app/
It’s just something I threw together in CodeSandbox, but still would rather this look more legit. From that url:
This poll was featured on hexbear.net on 2022-07-28 from 18:35 to 19:44 UTC. It started with the options of "positive" and "negative" and encouraged users to add their own feedback and rate each option based on how closely it applied to them. Within 5 minutes of posting, a single user was spamming slurs in their username, in their responses, and in their chats. The only votes or responses that were deleted were from this single user, under two separate accounts, both with slurs in their name which can be viewed in the raw data. If not for this user, the poll could have remained open much longer.
I've created this page because the question seems to be gone from the survey on the original page and is giving a gateway error about half the time for some reason.
While I would have liked to get responses from a larger pool of users, I think this poll is emblematic of both how overwhelmingly positive the pronouns feature is viewed by the community as well how vehemently a vocal minority opposes it. I will point out that, while "They don't affect me" was agreed with 19.9% on average, "Negative" was agreed with at only 2.4% on average. So even among the users who don't feel a tremendous need for the pronoun feature, the vast majority were not negatively affected by them.
