i was talking to this tow truck driver yesterday and mentioned casually that i was waiting on doing some things around the house until material prices came down, and he popped off. he was like, "that is never gonna happen with the absolute idiot in the white house. that guy is brain dead. and trump was too! what is with all these super old millionaires being in charge? they need to get out of the way and let us try something else." for reference, this guy was like 40.

i tried to lighten the mood and make a joke about how i thought biden had been dead for 6 months and they had him propped up like Weekend At Bernie's, but over the noise of the work, all he heard was Bernie and he just said, "we weren't lucky enough to get Bernie." and then just shook his head and went back to what he was doing.

it was kind of intense. like i had nothing to do with his rant. as a rule, i don't bring up anything partisan with people, because so much of the messaging is blue/red maga. but this guy had apparently just been steaming and was looking to rant about how fucked everything is.

dunno how or if that dude regularly :vote: , but the hate for biden is some real shit. and it seems like the longer dems deny it, the realer it's getting.

My neighbor, who is a rager party type giy, came up to the house drunk as shit talking about how the second coming of Trump is going to be like holocaust bad.

People are really stressed out right now.

Also the price of wood has really dropped. The rest of that stuff like electrical and plastic parts might as well get it before pelosi destroys that supply chain with her Taiwan visit

If it was recently, then it may have been some residual tension from a poster playing fast and lose with the "adventurism" rhetoric.
