How is it even debatable that the Azov Batallion is a Nazi death squad? I swear the way European liberals are going to warm to Brothers of Italy once they win. :eu-cool:

My (unsubstantiated) theory is that libs don't care as much about actions or beliefs being good or bad, but more about there being good and bad teams. Azov is on team good so it's impossible for them to be that evil

Nah spot on. This is central to lib world view. It’s why kids in cages, border walls, and being completely fucking moronic about covid were all bad when republicans did or advocated for them but totally a-ok once the Dems got into office.

I think it's more that :ukkkraine: was trying to kill the captured Azov losers so they don't confess to anything and they had to blow up the whole prison to do it

Russia bombing their own prison is of course complete nonsense, they could have easily covered up any torture without doing something that stupid

more likely they tried to free the Azov guys but instead in the fighting a lot of them died.

thinking they wanted to prevent a confession is nonsense they're an open Nazi death squad and no one cares plus it's not like Russia needs a confession to convict them of anything as it's a warzone not a criminal investigation

Trying to free them by precision missile strike at night? I think they are doing false flag, but completely ham-fisted one

I think that a more reasonable guess, if we are investigating the validity of the "preventing confessions" theory, is that the Azovites engaged in torture or pogromming that the Russians want to record them confessing to so it can be published for the world to see.

Obviously :ukkkraine: wouldn't be interested in preventing a wartime conviction with killing them, what would that accomplish?

Remember when Saddam totally used chemical weapons on his own soldiers in territory he just took control of after Obama specifically said that chemical weapons would provoke a US attack? I guess all these dictators are the same, smh my head

The tweet included a video clip showing a couple in a wrecked building, accusing Azov troops of having shelled their home. The embassy's call for execution repeats what the man in the video says.

Well that’s a pretty fucking important distinction BBC. A tweet of a video of an Azov victim saying that where the tweet says the content of the video, is very different from a random threat by the Russian government.
