The misery index for the US economy, a good guide to past election results, points to a 30-seat defeat for Democrats in November's midterms https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-07-30/midterm-misery-for-biden-as-key-economy-gauge-flags-30-seat-loss?sref=babSEhDq via @bpolitics
Places like r/politics are going to be impossible to deal with after the election.
I'm going to say stuff like "The democrats passed the covid bill and the infrastructure bill. But after that they failed on an epic scale. Their crushing loses are entirely on them." Then I'm going to get 5+ libs dogpiling on me and each of them is going to lecture me in detail...
Nothing works at all there. Two of their favorite excuses/rationalizations are pure gold for them....
"Manchin and Sinema are blocking progress!"
"Look, people needed to vote so we got two more senators..." The fucking chutzpah of this annoys me to no end. It's not even wrong - it's a joke.
There are probably ~35 dem senators who have said that just for a Roe law - they'd do a filibuster carve out. But when you link redditors to a lib website that explains that - they just say "Look, we don't know how things really will go if we get two more senators. Voting is..."
Ummmm sweaty you don't understand government, Dems simply have no power ever and we have to elect them to symbolically resist Republicans but never in actuality
I have seen the errors of my ways. I am bad. And I should feel bad. We must always vote and we must pray hard that eventually the democrats will have at least60 votes to overcome the filibuster. Inshallah. God Bless America.
Ngl I against my better judgement got into some reddit arguments and it's awful. Your post goes to -30 in a second and you get loads of replies telling you you don't understand the American government and Biden just can't do anything. These people are some combo of bot, intern, or CIA agent.

You're accurately foretelling the future, I just think it's always important to remember that first bit & throw it back in their faces

it's not about changing their mind it's about upsetting them. Hopefully enough that they stop saying shit like this.
