This is absolutely insane and I don't understand how you can simply "oopsie-poopsie" send all emails and SMS from you client without intent. Like why did his lawyers have that all that data on hand? What file format is that data even in? The best I can think of is the lawyer had a .ab file from adb backup but that basically means he basically got hacked by his own lawyers.
