Don't mind us, just testing our hypersonic missiles by flying it across Taiwan:
Even before the main stage of the exercise kicked off on Thursday, Global Times called them “unprecedented,” adding that Chinese missiles were expected to “fly over the island of Taiwan for the first time.” People's Liberation Army (PLA) forces are also expected to enter the area within 12 nautical miles of the island, and could potentially surround the island “entirely,” it added, citing military “experts.”
Invading Taiwan right now is exactly what the western powers want to happen. China has all the time in the world to peacefully reunify. But the yanks know every day that goes by, China gets a little stronger while the US gets a little weaker. The US would love nothing more than China getting involved in a major war that would have the chance of destabilizing the country. They should not invade but they also can't just do nothing when the US so flagrantly violates the One China Policy.
