Interesting that engagement bounced from 1.3 million in April to 2.3 million in May. Don't know why it wont' display June or July though.
When the news get spicier the hogs gather for their slop. Sadly the Commodore hosting this place can't serve so many of them.

Probably that someone with the Alexa extension visits both websites
This started out as a DePaul University forum then rebranded to hexbear
o7 to the 5% of visitors over the age of 65
I can't imagine how someone born in the 1950s would ever comprehend, much less engage with, some of the shit we post here lol
why has the number of times the site has been accessed from mexico increased by over 270% in the last month?

so how is this data actually gathered? is it one of those things that's just kinda vibes based or is it the site itself?
hexbear is using hcaptcha, cloudflare and gstatic (google) each one more sus than the last.
people can also be leaking data from not containerizing cookies, installing commercial browser extensions or using a DNS that shares data.
Most of it going to be from browser extensions and hotlinking. I doubt cloudflare or Google would sell data in bulk like that, you could make much more profit otherwise
Most of it is going to be from people with extensions that send data to Alexa and hotlinked assets.
