I keep saying this. Shopping carts and wooden pallets. Shopping carts are abundant in america aren't they? Taking a bunch with some bolt cutters to use as barriers should be easy and they're super easy to transport because they're wheelie. I like the fishing wire idea best though, very portable, very easy to set up.
