Yesterday I called you lame and one of the weakest groups because you've been scattering and getting repeatedly mashed by the same tactics night after night for a while.

You're still struggling with those charges, but tonight was very cool and I should apologise for that. I'm sorry.

Post tactics in this thread for helping deter/preventing police charges or something I don't know.

EDIT: I just got told !tactics@hexbear.net exists. Go and subscribe to it!

EDIT2: Multiple molotovs thrown in this video

Edit3: Smart initial retreat. What this doesn't show is the moment it breaks up due to police charge though.

Edit4: This shit is cool. can be ordered on ebay under the name "tree stump remover", credit to @SenoraRaton.

Edit5: Read this thread and make lots of these

Even with zero “war like” experience we all got it in us in the spur of the momment and along a charging crowd

except none of these losers have read Marx so its ultimately pointless like any slave rebellion

Yeah without a powerful political component, it's basically useless. I remember seeing video of the most disciplined and organized riot ever in Japan in the 80s. I believe it was over the govt seizing poor farmers' land to build an airport and was organized by the JCP. They had long sharpened rods and body armor and acted as a tight cohesive unit charging the cops with their lances and throwing molotovs at the water cannon vehicles and APCs. Absolutely stunning discipline like they were a Roman Legion. IIRC they defeated the cops in this instance but still lost their fight. The farmers had their land stolen and the airport was built anyway.

Apparently the only people that got molotov’d were other protestors tho 😒

This is true, there was a bit of friendly fire. But the effect of the molotovs on the cops was very very clear. It scared the shit out of them and they were very noticeably rattled, so much so that they actually evacuated the area entirely for a while immediately afterwards. They were unprepared for all the smoke bombs and fireworks.

The fireworks didn't work. The smoke definitely did though, they were visibly slowed and uncomfortable going straight into/through the denser smoke because they couldn't see what was on the other side of it.

Cap one end, attach them to a centerpiece and face the output in opposite directions so it spins and disperses the smoke more evenly in all directions.

If you made the shape like a spinning top it would spin while on the ground due to a natural unbalanced shape. Throwing it could be like those old german grenades. There are some creative ways to design this. Of course that would only work on tarmac/concrete but that's fine for the intended urban usage of these.

Not gonna lie I'd be honored to be accidentally molotov'd by a comrade. As long as I just lose some skin and hair.

Looked like it might have burned his feet a bit, took about 30-45 seconds to get it out. I doubt it was super serious or anything but it's gonna sting a while. Shoes were basically turned into a smouldering plastic mess and a write-off, one was left behind.

That's why it's a good weapon. Collateral damage is basically near zero, feet are the only potential damage even to the cops. A molotov can not break when hitting a body, it will only break when hitting the ground or a vehicle... But people are scared shitless of fire and burns. It's a fear tool and people get the fuck away from fire and fear being lit up by being hit by one, even cops, despite the fact there's near zero chance of it doing them any harm.

I keep saying this. Shopping carts and wooden pallets. Shopping carts are abundant in america aren't they? Taking a bunch with some bolt cutters to use as barriers should be easy and they're super easy to transport because they're wheelie. I like the fishing wire idea best though, very portable, very easy to set up.

@ApartheidPoliceState suggested this in the megathread:

"Fishing like across the road. Lots of it. Do it, then move to another direction the cops can travel in by foot, and do it there too. Box them in."

I like this idea, you can get 1km spools of it and cover a lot of ground. Cars would still be able to drive over it if it's loose but you wouldn't be able to run on it. Lots of good suggestions in this string of responses.

Literally. It's a good idea though, these cops keep doing charges that they start from like 30-40metres away and covering some ground with enough fishing wire would put a complete stop to it.

I was watching last night and thought how funny it would be if someone dumped a few buckets of marbles in the street like a 1980s slapstick cartoon

Pigs would classify marbles as weapons and charge you for each individual marble so people get slammed with 400 counts of assault with a deadly weapon

Literally every cop has a knife and it'd be a single motion to cut several lines

Braided line doesn't cut easy with a knife(needs good scissors or wire cutters) and if it's all tangled up you're probably better off just rolling it up into a big tumbleweed bundle anyway. The point isn't a permanent barricade, the point is stopping at least one charge or presenting a deterrent to performing a charge. Ideally they'd be on the receiving end of projectiles while cutting anything anyway... Ideally.. I know they're quite passive about that right now but they won't be forever. Every riot cop does not have a knife on hand. Running around with blades to fall on in a riot is dopey. They're not even all armed.

I don't know if this would be useful or not, but in the event that a photo makes it out there that's incriminating and has someone's face on it...

Using a GACNN to replace all the faces on the photo (bonus points if you train it exclusively with photos of cops) and spam them all over the internet. I don't think it would be enough to try to convince them that the person in the doctored photos was the real lawbreaker, but it might create enough uncertainty and doubt around the original picture for them to claim that that one ISN'T doctored.
