what's the point?
i started with a friend recently and we got a base going and we played for 3 days amassing supplies to try to learn ONE blueprint (still like 12 blueprints from learning how to make a revolver or anything useful) and everybody on the server has helicopters and AKs and bombs. i played til 2AM last night and nearly learned my first blueprint and then I wake up this morning to two sheet metal doors with code locks just gone (blown up I guess?) and new locks and i'm locked out of my house. we built 4 bases over the last 3 days and i checked all 4 last night. this morning ALL 4 ARE GONE AND DESTROYED. in 10 hours while i slept. lost everything for 3 days of playing (like 12 hours) and i'm back to square one with literally no recourse. i still know ZERO blueprints and i'm shit all in the world. if this game expects me to grind out another 12 hours to maybe learn how to make a hammer i'll never use you've got to be fucking kidding me. been trying to play this game for 2 weeks and the server is gonna wipe soon and everybody has guns and i still can't understand how to make even a bean grenade or a hammer out of scrap. this is absolutely ridiculous.
is this a game or a career?
does this game just hate it's players? how do you catch up to people who have AKs and shit when I can't even build a hammer? what the fuck? this has got to be the worst game i've ever played by an insane margin. apparently sleeping in real life means you lose everything. how is this fun? i just want even a tiny chance at success but i'm playing against people who have teams of 10 people building massive castles with bombs and guns and fucking AIR SUPPORT while i'm naked with a rock barely able to build a couple shacks for bases. holy shit it's infuriating the lack of respect this game has for the time i've invested. like, the developers shit on me for wanting to play their game. feels like they want me to fuck all the way off and never play this game so i guess i'll take the hint.
this is a game made by people who live on their computers for people who shit in their own pants so they can game longer.

So I'd suggest playing on rp servers, its way more fun people only monuments have pvp you claim territory and there is a process in which you declare war, honestly basic rust is hot garbage iv ben playing since 2012, the devs need to think about building in rp and pvp control more as the game isn't really fun or engaging and it just churns through players.
Good server is rust empires 1 They let people build city's and start up dumb stuff like car repair shops, weapon manufacturers, free housing, its really cool if you have a plan, i opened a bar and had one of my friends play music on the midi instruments. I have also created a taxi service and medical transport emergency services with the helicopter.
The entire game idk how to explain it feel like its a rp game trying to be a pvp game i think the developers should dump the honestly old style pvp game they have and go for a rp approch.
this sounds cool. i don't have a pc, is it on ps4? ps4 seems more rudimentary compared to pc so not sure if i'm just shit out of luck on this one or not. that does sound way more engaging though.
i honestly really loved the game when things were evolving and there was a story developing, i was building and gathering stuff, so close to building my first ever blueprint. but time and time again it gets stolen from me before i can make that crucial step to actually being able to do SOMETHING and i just seem stuck at this wall where it's like i can grind for days, the game allows me to waste my time grinding, but as soon as i actually am about to make true PROGRESS, everything gets stolen from me. i've had the game installed for a month and i've uninstalled it several times and keep coming back after trying to understand what i'm missing but this game just seems fundamentally cruel is the word i would use. cruelty is just in it's blood and i'm getting fucking tired of it. like let me play the game i bought or don't and if the answer is you don't then fuck off i'm moving on with my life.
anyway, i'm still really salty over this because i spent my whole weekend building this shit and it's all gone for nothing--nobody gained anything from fucking me over but here we are. the rp thing sounds cool though and i'd check it out if i can.
I think it is it should be in the modded server list if you can see it on ps4, the server has a really great community for the most part, every wipe the city builders try to do new themes for the city's. Im telling you its the way rust feels like it is meant to be played, an example a city clan by the name of era created a community of ufos that where apparentments.
