Yeah when I played volleyball in high school, the number of recruitment posters in another school's gym, halls, and locker room was inversely proportional with their budget (which was of course heavily correlated to the racial makeup of the student body)
I started high school going to a small private school before transferring to a larger public school and the way the military recruiters were was like night and day
At the smaller school with wealthier kids they just sent one guy with a clipboard and some free shit to give us, I remember making fun of him by going right upnto him and pointing at the little flag on his right sleeve and saying "Your flag is backwards"
No where near as based as I could have been but it made him mad, started yelling something about "the flag pointing that way because the army is advancing not retreating" I just laughed
At the public school with over 5 times the number of students (and more of them not white) things were different, they didn't just send a guy with a clipboard instead they sent a fucking drill sergeant to take over our gym class for a week
Always found it messed up how they'd go to alternative schools for kids with learning disabilities and heavily push their shit.
