Yeah. It's a legitimately dangerous topic because it holds gender and sexuality to the fire given that all our political arguments to win battles are things like "you're born this way" and that they're "inherent characteristics". We avoid talking about things like how sexuality can change (mine has changed twice) and we absolutely avoid the topic of the concept of a non-gendered person which would NOT be the same as a non-binary person. What even is a gender? Can you just not have any gender at all? Why is any amount of gender required? How much gender do you have? Lmao. I'm being a little silly, but, there's legitimate questions that get into the galaxy-brain zone. Does anyone at all reallllly have a gender when we transcend bodies and literally pick and choose our outward appearance in ways that aren't even physical? Is a cloud of gas gendered? Does it have a sexuality? I think not.

We enter a space of post-genderism with that kind of technology that brings about deeply inherent humanity questions about everything we currently hold as truths. Our cultural battles in such a space are going to be wild.

I really hope I live to see it! Maybe technology will advance quickly enough for me to get shoved into a robot body before I die of natural causes, assuming I don't go out before that. Actually reaching that point, where Ghost in the Shell style humans are possible, might be my biggest unrealistic dream.
