People are pissed off that the martian had China help the rescue with a rocket, they would die if the thought of Russia, especially soviet Russia, doing something just because it's a country and not because it's evil was ever suggested.

i knew i liked that movie for more then just nerdy reasons
It's an all around incredible film, easily the best musical of its year
