It’s pretty obvious that the mods are biased towards white people and the Midwesterners in particular. You can make fun of white people all you want, but the moment you even dare criticise a black person then the kid gloves come off and the Nazi mods ban you.

I’m Midwestern and honestly, I’m offended by the comments I see here about Midwestern cooking. I know a lot of Midwestern people on this site feel the same but are afraid to speak up because of the authoritarian mods.

We don’t all eat deep dish pizza. I come from Minnesota. Here we have a dish called Tater Tot hotdish. It’s meat, tater tots, and onions all served submerged in cream of mushroom soup. Does that sound bad to you?

If there is black pride and gay pride, then why can’t I be proud to be Midwestern?

I am Midwestern and I am proud. I won’t be afraid anymore.

every state and area of america has its own extremely annoying identitarians. midwesterners have yet to be as annoying as new yorkers or southerners, but they're getting there

They have a subway, which is awesome; but they underfund it and neglect it

The NYPD gets 5.2 billion annually, which would qualify for the 41st largest military by spending all by itself

            They have the Yankees

Robert Moses was a lich and his phylactery is a time stone which is part of the Times Square Ball drop. He got involved with some dealings trafficking souls for both Hell and Fae and was ultimately smited by The Questing Blade while unleashing a celestial paragon on the city

New Yorkers will at least tell you to fuck off to your face. Minnesotans will spend years putting on a fake showing of politeness while being too passive aggressive to ever actually say they don't like you.

Maybe in NYC this is true, but not in the rest of the state. Actually Upstate NY feels Midwest-y in a lot of ways

Upstate NY is technically Great Lake territory.

Have you considered that this is part of why people hate New Yorkers? It’s not that hard to put on a smile and not be an asshole all the time. NYC and Boston are full of the most obnoxious assholes on planet earth.

Compared to venomous midwest passive aggression, poisonous southern hospitality, the fake engagement of california, or the total freeze out you get in seattle having someone scream in your face can be refreshingly honest and direct.

What you call “venomous”“poisonous,” and “fake” most of us call “Normal politeness”

It doesn’t feel honest it just makes me want to cry because I can’t handle confrontation at any level.

My ranking of preference is: PNW freezeout > Southern hospitality > California take engagement > Midwest passive aggression > Yankee screaming. Although the southern hospitality is what I’m most used to.

NY deli workers speak to me worse than anyone I know would speak to their worst enemy.
