        the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

    Shinsekai Yori was confused, liberal, and I can't remember if it was actually good, but it did feature a mass peasant/worker uprising by genetically segregated rat people against their psychic "normal" people overlords who had constantly abused and exploited them as subhuman.

    The uprising was depicted as a bad thing even though the rat people were objectively correct.
