I guess they realize that if they want to "save" US democracy they have to ramp up their outright involvement in electoral politics a la color revolution playbook. There are so many now that it's hard to even keep track.

In bad country, the government is run by the military and intelligence sectors, with officers and former officers occupying many high-ranking political offices.

If only the Dems were as worried about being accused of being the deep state by the GOP as they are of being called "fiscally irresponsible."

Is it possible to get the Dems to purge the deep state from its party? Or is it too late?
