    Vtubers are cool but the community surrounding them is one of the most fucked up, disgusting, cruel, psychotic, misogynistic, pedophilic and psychopathic in existence.

      This is true for the mainstream. Meanwhile the smaller indies are full of normal people (a lot of them trans), who just want to vibe and who won't do the whole 'be flirty for content' thing.

      Vtuber community is just part of the anime community though so it is not especially/uniquely bad. It just has the characteristics that it share with anime community which include weebs and incels but also LGBT, chill normal people if you know to look. I know you are just mostly referring to the former but sometimes it feels kinda painful to see the latter just get lumped in with them without second thought.
