He screwed them over after they intentionally botched the Bay of Pigs, they felt he had surrendered to the Soviets after the Cuban Missile Crisis, he issued directives to pull troops out of Vietnam, intending to fully withdraw by 1964, he fired Allen Dulles and straight up said he wanted to dismantle the CIA
