Honestly anything to get people to stop eating any kind of non farmed sea life is probably good tho

Shrimp and crawfish are some of the easiest sea creatures to farm, tho.

Hell crawfish are practically an unintended consequence of rice farming.

Most non-industrial rice farmers are very deliberate about getting good fish yields. I wouldn't call it un-intended, give paleolithic farmers some credit.

Sure, sure. But at some level, you're going to have crawfish whether you want them or not. In the same way that growing corn and wheat gets you mice and cicadas.

Since they're functionally a cash crop in their own right, the cultivation becomes deliberate. But you're going to have to work incredibly hard to keep crawfish out of a Louisiana rice paddy.
