Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical RPG released in 2019 for the Switch. It was developed by Intelligent Systems and Koei Tecmo and published by Nintendo. Three Houses was the first Fire Emblem game to return to consoles after a twelve year gap being on handheld systems. The Fire Emblem series began in 1990 and currently spans 16 mainline games.

Three Houses takes place on the continent of Fódlan, with the main story being centered around Garreg Mach Monastery. Garreg Mach serves as both the home of the Church of Seiros and an officer's academy which the main character, Byleth, becomes a professor at. At the beginning of the game you choose to teach one of the school's houses (Black Eagles, Golden Deer, Blue Lions), each of which align with one of the major powers in Fódlan (Adrestian Empire, Leicester Alliance, Holy Kingdom of Fargaerghus). Though initially at peace, conflict begins to erupt between the Empires and a struggle for power emerges. Throughout the game time is spent between combat and life around the academy.

Combat is typical for a TRPG - turn based combat over a grid with limited moves each unit can make per turn. Each house starts with a certain number of students, but you can recruit other students / instructors and use them in combat over time. Characters can also be customized as you need by upgrading to various classes and equipping battalions for unique attacks. Each map has environmental and human made hazards that benefit some unit types, while leaving others at a disadvantage.

The other half of the game is a mix of social simm, activities around Garreg Mach, doing side quests, and training Byleth. Spending time with characters through different activities unlocks quests that give more backstory to the world of Fódlan and the interpersonal relationships characters have with one another. There's also end game romance options that include some queer characters!

I think Three Houses is an excellent game and worth playing. The twists in the story are interesting, so I'm leaving the plot vague! Byleth can also be male or female, which is nice. Also, Black Eagles is the best house.

More euphoric, some body load. Worse on the comedown, for me less effective for straight-ahead focus. But it's what I had and it was definitely more fun. Wasn't long enough on vyvanse to judge, but Adderall made my heart feel bad over longterm use, even at a low dose with breaks.

That's where I am with the Vyvanse on heart issues. I've been recommended Focalin for that but am unsure with how reliable it'll be.

oh, you know what, I was actually thinking about methylphenidate, which is focalin and concerta, vis a vis vyvanse. idk if I've taken Vyvanse. I think vyvanse is more similar to adderal chemically. But I'm not a chemist. So anyway, I thought methylphenidate was very good at treating my adhd, but I never used it for more than a handuful totally isolated instances, where it performed well except not as fun.

I have mild to moderate ADHD-PI and Adderall has been life changing for me. I need two doses of the instant release most days at 12.5 mg but the effect is very noticeable and helps immensely. I try not to take it on the weekends and some days I only take my morning pill in an effort to keep my dosage low.
