Molly Nilsson - 1995
dream-pop, electronic
Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) She's probably one of the more famous trans musicians but Against Me is an underrated band imo.
Reinventing Axl Rose is punk AF and prob one of my fav albums of all time.
(warning: linked music may cause feelings)
Ada Rook and Black Dresses
She/Her/HersBtw if you want to listen to their music all their albusm should still be on their bandcamp
Oh man I remember when hbomb played Left At London's "Revolution Lover" at the end of the DK stream and just feeling so much hope
i have been waiting for this thread!
In love with a ghost , it's cutesy chill music.
Nero's Day at Disneyland , it's a experimental glitch project by Lauren Bousfield.
Also is Molly Nilsson trans? I didn't know.
Lauren Bousfield absolutely whips ass if you're into erratic, fast breakcore. Track 4 is especially good.
Or if you're into the more chill, atmospheric side of the genre, Sewerslvt is great. A lot of her songs deal with dark, borderline suicidal imagery, and often has NSFW album art, so consider this your warning before going to dig much further.
Gojii has some super nice light-hearted electronic. Most of their stuff is over here, though - the first linked album is on some label's page.
If you are into soundtrack music and history: Wendy Carlos. She really pioneered electronic music in the 1970s. Also scored films like Tron and The Shining and influenced generations of musicians.
Anohni of Anthony and the Johnsons
Here's one of my favorite tracks with her, from 2008's Hercules & Love Affair
