pre smartphone doohickeys were great. Hell, even phones were getting wacky with it at that point
Mashing five buttons at the same time on a small ass querty keyboard on my Palm phone.
Sorry I can't hear you over the sounds of my sick portable gaming and telephony device
Excuse the face its the only image I could find of someone actually holding it to their face, yes that's how it was designed to be used
I've only heard of that model in legend, I don't think I could take its raw power irl
went through like 2 or 3 of these things because I was a dumb kid who left shit all over the floor and I stepped on two of them. (rip shrek themed SP :shrek-pixel-despair:)
my older brother put the third one on top of a cabinet and straight up forgot about it. Found it YEARS later completely by accident and I still have 2 working SPs.
It's ridiculous how long the battery lasts, this is my first and only one from 2006, it was the standard blue before I reskinned it two-ish :biden-forgor: years ago.
I love just picking up cheap knock off cartridges online for it, like the copy of Link to the Past/Four Swords on screen.
start from Marx’s house
:brak: don’t mind if I do, buddy! :marx-ok:
Got myself a refurbished one with a new battery and improved backlight nearly ten years ago and it's still going strong. Works great with one of those cartridges designed to hold a flash card.
Oh! I didn't even know the flashcard cartridge was a thing going to have a look into it
EZFlash is the one I picked because it supposedly offers the best compatibility with modded/fan-made games. It's been able to run all the modded versions of Pokemon FireRed I've tried, at least.
:kitsupogi: sweet, thanks for the link comrade I'll look into this, way more practical for long trips. Also I need to dive into fan made titles at some point too.
Minish cap was great, underrated Zelda game and apparently like one of the last third party serious Zelda games IIRC?
I remember as a kid with a tenuous grasp of english I would go through the sign puzzle in the woods and whenever it read "Left" I managed to mistake it for "Lift" and I would lift and chuck the sign before walking off in some random direction and not getting why it wasnt working.
I've been having a grand old time with Retroarch on my phone and a Bluetooth controller
They were so compact too. A lot of modern phones are bigger. What a great system.
Still have mine in silver. Many many hours were spent with it as my first handheld
