It never crosses their minds that if the Cuban government sucked that bad, they’d be out of power. Life is hard there, but compare it to its neighbors!

That's the thing that gets me. They don't compare Cuba with other latin american countries, or other global south countries, or even compate it to the previous Cuban government. They compare it directly with the wealthiest imperial power in history and say its clear that Cuba is bad because its not the US. Even though there are some ways Cuba is better, like life expectancy

It kills me when Americans talk like this about Cuba - because they (Cuba) objectively have a more democratic system of governance than the US. Even by liberal, bourgeois standards!

Salient considerations respecting the life of the present Government of Cuba are:

      1. The majority of Cubans support Castro (the lowest estimate I have seen is 50 percent).
      1. There is no effective political opposition.
      1. Fidel Castro and other members of the Cuban Government espouse or condone communist influence.
      1. Communist influence is pervading the Government and the body politic at an amazingly fast rate.
      1. Militant opposition to Castro from without Cuba would only serve his and the communist cause.
      1. The only foreseeable means of alienating internal support is through disenchantment and disaffection based on economic dissatisfaction and hardship.

If the above are accepted or cannot be successfully countered, it follows that every possible means should be undertaken promptly to weaken the economic life of Cuba. If such a policy is adopted, it should be the result of a positive decision which would call forth a line of action which, while as adroit and inconspicuous as possible, makes the greatest inroads in denying money and supplies to Cuba, to decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government.

Guys, I think this dude’s CTRL and V keys need a rest.

DAE think it's dishonest to prove that the US did something by posting their manifesto laying out their intent and methods for doing that thing?

It's pro cuba propaganda that, year over year, 29 times, the General Assembly has condemned the illegal and unjust blockade by a count of everybody vs the US and Israel. https://news.un.org/en/story/2021/06/1094612

when i was a child i assumed cuba bad because people were floating themselves over on rafts so obviously there must be mass starvation and death camps or something. plus castro was like the origin for the military uniform wearing island dictator yelling about his enemies fron a balcony. holy shit did i get my mind absolutely blown when i got older and actually learned some real facts about it.
