The obsession they have with trans women is really bizarre. I know they hate trans men as well but every "groomer" accusation is about a trans woman and that's exactly who they have in mind when discussing anything trans related.
It's because it's just patriarchy. The transwomen are perceived as men giving up their patriarchal privilege and that threatens patriarchy itself.
Same reason gay men were always attacked harder than gay women. A gay woman is perceived as a woman trying to attain male status and is knocked down for that but it's viewed as something positive because she's aiming higher, the gay man however is acting feminine by liking men and is giving up male status.
This shit has not changed at all since it was fought primarily on sexuality. It's all patriarchy.
I've been trying to figure out for a while why conservatives pivoted to fetishizing femboys. And I think the reason is that anti-feminist transwomen are ideologically dying out (proportionally) compared to feminist transwomen. Femboys/tr*ps/sissies/etc. are acceptable to objectify because their subcultures still tend to accept patriarchal values on average. Wheras transwomen get intentionally misgendered and the focus of obsessive behaviors revolve around humiliation and degredation. Back when the tumblr/4chan wars were still a thing, reactionary dudebros didn't want to seem "gay" for liking transwomen so they used correct pronouns half the time just so they could be like "nah, it's straight, bro. If it looks like a girl it's a girl." But now they'd rather be "gay" than "politically correct." Subservience to the patriarchy comes even before their own personal preferences.
Also, I think a pretty sizable portion of these anti-trans reactionaries are chasers, based on experience. It explains a lot of why transwomen specifically are the focus.
Men dressing as women without giving up their male status is just make believe. They've been around since before the gay part was acceptable, drag acts in Britain for example have been acceptable for hundreds of years.
As long as in some way shape or form they are functioning to make fun of women then they're deemed ok. Most of these reactionary femboys are doing just that, leaning into women as subhuman and roleplaying it for kink then having all their male status outside of the roleplay because that's all it is -- roleplay. This is then deemed acceptable because it reinforces patriarchy.
Really it's the same as the drag acts were except they've gained the benefits of some improvements for homosexuality.
It's a real problem as some of them are genuinely trans kids that haven't realised they're trans yet. Impossible to say which are and which aren't but they get groomed by it all because it's positive attention.
I mean, I think it depends. I don't think femboys or drag queens are more reactionary than transfems. There are feminist femboys on this site even. It's just that the conditions of being transfem force you to come to terms with your rejection of masculinity in a very personality-shattering way. But plenty of transfems come out of their metamorphosis believing the wildest shit you ever heard. It's just not stuff that people trying to objectify us can normalize in their terms. Drag, similarly isn't something they can normalize in their terms because they don't understand the appeal of gender as performance for performance sake, there has to be some animalistic goal to fulfill. Chasers seem to conceptualize crossdressing and transitioning as fetish for the person doing them, and so when femboys take on a queer framework or transwomen write paragraphs of leftist gender theory, it loses the reactionaries entirely. They don't understand how entangled their own conceptions of gender, power, and sex are. Aside from that, though, pretty spot on. Femboy chasers actively go out of their way to stop eggy people from transitioning so that they can maintain access to that person.
The people in charge of local government are generally people who have the free time to participate in local government and the money to fund an election campaign. So...
Cuz non-parents still pay taxes to fund the schools, so they should have some say in how they run. But yeah, it's just used for migratory reactionary groups.
