The only good thing the Dude Perfect dudes ever did was convince Hasbro to make an actual Nerf longbow and sell it to kids

There's a very old and badly aged dystopian novel called We that features vast bleak landscapes of glass and steel where everyone's trapped and exposed amid the monotony in a vast surveillance state. Because straw communism, of course.

Apart from this being for more narcissistic and selfish ends from rich assholes, how is this garish building, symbolic of the global neoliberal hegemony with all of its surveillance police state apparatuses and contempt for so much as the idea of privacy for the poors, that much different?

Construction of the worlds largest skyscraper correlates with economic collapses. This won't be the highest but it will certainly count if it actually gets built.

I've constantly heard talk about how the internet advertising industry is a huge bubble but it's always just been rumor.

oh it's a bubble all right but it is one that may never pop until civilization has already collapsed for other reasons.

I’ve constantly heard talk about how the internet advertising industry is a huge bubble but it’s always just been rumor.

I've never understood how advertising makes money or is profitable. I assume it's either some kind of money laundering scheme, or else there's some kind of capitalist religious brainworms going on that compels them to do it.
