    To me it's the Szechuan peppercorns that give the defining spicy taste. Sucks I can't find them easily here.

          I love that the fandom went so over the top that it broke itself. Almost everyone who would have called themselves a Rick and Morty fan during Season 2 now says "i like the show but hate the fans" instead - I can't think of that happening to any other fandom.

      as a last resort you can of course get that shit from Bezos, but I am truly shocked there's nothing resembling an asian grocery anywhere near you

        I'm in Eastern Europe, and I'm not saying I can't get any, just that it's a mission to do so. Also, we don't have amazon here, which is nice.

          to think there are places without asian groceries...that's grim

          I went on a work trip to Warsaw a couple years back and went to a Nepalese place with my Polish co-workers. They were literally blown away that I ate lamb vindaloo (FIVE CHILIS) without dying, and I'm just your average American mayo.
