Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)
Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

oh this can't lead to anything good (zelensky's office was missile striked)
Makes sense. It's a highly symbolic target and destroying it will be popular with the Russian nationalist crowd calling for revenge for the attack on the bridge.
Edit:
Russia is attacking the Ukrainian power grid as well.
I guess the gloves have finally come off.

Also tried to negotiate for six months with their boss.
Putin has been trying to negotiate since 2014 and NATO or Ukraine have struck down every offer and every attempt at seeking a diplomatic resolution.
You know...in the 90's war in the Balkans, despite immense hatred of Serbia, Croatian nationalists (similar to these Ukrainian ones) took care not to strike targets in Serbia which (similar to Russia) supported the rebel Serbs in Croatia, so Croatia could justify their war in the "international community", as purely defensive and noble. Nothing in Serbia was damaged and they successfully pulled off the narrative and the war.
The Ukrainian nationalists are just too dumb to do that, or simply gone too insane.
The first comment on that Twitter thread is pure cringe
