    this kind of thing has been common on reddit for a while now, its probably completely astroturfed for a while now

      Everybody who didn't like the worst aspects of reddit have been spending less and less time there since they gor rid of third party people.

      At this point it's Facebook with a 20 year younger target demo.

        yeah, it seems the quality of posts took a nosedive since then. not that it was going too well before.

          Algorithm sucks ass now compared to a year ago and every third post being an add that intentionally mimics reddit posts tonget you to click on it aren't working.

          Also I am by no means overly edgy or something but anytime I've tried to make an account in the last year it's been instantly permabanned for ban evasion because I got banned from worldnews for saying

          "I am against giving unlimited weapons to proud self avowed neo nazis because after the war they'll still have the weapons and use them for neo nazi stuff"

          And from politics for calling someone a naive dipshit

          So anybody politcally left of being ok with arming people with black sun patches on their chest has probablly been purged.

        But the latent fascism has only gotten more blatant over there
