i hate this meme queer people keep posting in nearly every queer online space.

I rage quit the entirety of reddit today because I got banned from /r/politics for saying "I'm sure this will be the time they get trump"

I used to get a kick out of civility baiting libs and getting them banned. I have a pretty high kill count. It's not working anymore because now they just straight up ban you for not 110% supporting Biden.

Lmao I was banned from r/politics for pointing out that if Brandon keeps doing what he's doing there isn't going to be anything left in Gaza for Trump to "finish off" if/when he gets back in office.

      Apparently that was "trolling" biden-nibble

I've said that a few times recently. Surprised that didn't get me popped. I got a reddit cares message right before the ban and I assume it was courtesy of the whiny little shit I was stringing along.

Ehh, whatever. Back to reading actual books. Bating libs is distracting and not enriching unless you're doing it casually, like on the toilet or something.

Please, comrade, I beg you to take care and refrain from digital self-harm. Reddit is the mind killer, it's the little death that brings total obliteration.

I do too. I'm disabled and mostly stuck at home, i have difficulty reading books and watching tv for mental health reasons, and i really really for real need something to occupy my time that isn't reddit. If anyone has suggestions please share.

If you have a library card, Hoopla and Libby make it incredibly easy to check out audiobooks right to/on your phone :) I always found listening is easier than reading

this kind of thing has been common on reddit for a while now, its probably completely astroturfed for a while now

Everybody who didn't like the worst aspects of reddit have been spending less and less time there since they gor rid of third party people.

At this point it's Facebook with a 20 year younger target demo.

yeah, it seems the quality of posts took a nosedive since then. not that it was going too well before.

Algorithm sucks ass now compared to a year ago and every third post being an add that intentionally mimics reddit posts tonget you to click on it aren't working.

Also I am by no means overly edgy or something but anytime I've tried to make an account in the last year it's been instantly permabanned for ban evasion because I got banned from worldnews for saying

"I am against giving unlimited weapons to proud self avowed neo nazis because after the war they'll still have the weapons and use them for neo nazi stuff"

And from politics for calling someone a naive dipshit

So anybody politcally left of being ok with arming people with black sun patches on their chest has probablly been purged.

This is one thing I love about Hexbear. I can't find this sort of principled bravery among other queer people in other places as easily. Too much cowardice and being willing to throw the victims of Empire into the meatgrinder for the illusion of their own safety.

sadly online queer spaces still largely reflect the prevailing ideology of liberalism. I try not to let it get me down. I value the trans community on here because it's not like that. I'm banned from the biggest trans discord in my country because of the implicit "no communism" rule a lot of lib spaces have lol

Aren’t there a bunch of US states that have made horribly bigoted laws, and the Biden admin has just thrown its hands up and said it can’t do anything?

Look, the Senate Pastafarian said that Joe Mansion is the only person who's opinion matters. And he says good things are illegal. That's just the rules. Smol bean powerless Mr. Pwesident can't break the rules, you nyaow?

Anyway, if you don't for for Genocide Joe, the orange man will wield unlimited power.

Remember in 2009 when we wanted healthcare, but Joe Liberal Man threatened to talk all day, so smol bean Barry O. just gave up? They had two thirds of the seats in the senate back then. No Senate Parmigiano Reggiano required.

It checks out, because any time you make a valid criticism, you have to disavow every other example of the thing you're criticizing, acknowledge that the Republicans would be worse even though that's a given, tell them your entire voting record, hate the correct news sources, acknowledge all the good things (insert current politician they defend uncritically) has done, and then maybe you can say something like "I think Biden shouldn't send more weapons to Israel"

Only to have them call you a commie Russian tankies from China, who is posting from your troll farm, and then they let you know that the adults in the room are making the hard decisions.

You're supposed to jump through all these hoops but they can just unironically say things that are state department talking points

Unfortunately the defining characteristics is still that it's reddit.

It's not a lgbtq space that happens to be on reddit it's a subreddit that happens to claim to be about lgbtq.

So you can apply whatever niche aesthetician you want to the pre approved reddit conversations.

"I'm gay and think Biden is awesome"

"I'm Trans and think we should start bombing Russian population centers"

But the top priority is deff still being reddit, which means its chock full of the most self assured liberal dumbshits on the planet.

Also I'm starting to feel similarly about lgbtq people who are committed to defending democrats the same way I did about Ukrainians committed to defending Republicans early in the war.

Wish them the best but I told them they were going to get violently abandoned at the earliest convenience and was told I had no idea what I was talking about.

Same thing, best of luck relying on liberals to stand up for you. There deffinitly isn't decades of evidence and a literal pile of bodies of people who had the same beliefs.

I gave up on reddit a few months ago for similar reasons. Only sub I managed to get banned from though was r/gamingcirclejerk for a half-hearted joke on leftist memes and r/militaryporn for calling US troops murderers and the like. Also, why doesn't the spoiler option work half the time for me.

What the fuck are you serious. What sub banned you on behalf of hypothetical tilted employers? lmao that's a new low in bootlicking I didn't even consider. It doesn't add up. They're slobbering from like another side of the numbers. Something has to be genuinely wrong with your brain on like a primordial level to ban for that
