yeah but I am a socialist I already don't agree with these people and argue against milktoast dems all day and try to live a more effective life than them to show them.

I'd love to help but in California our vote practically means nothing.

They don't want to be radicalized. They want things to go back to "normal."

Someone stopped talking to me when I started talking about Obama's drones blowing up a bunch of civilians before Trump was even a blip on the Presidential radar. Just by living and working in America, we sponsor that brand of terrorism with our taxes.

She didn't have anything to say to that, so she blocked me.

People like that don't want to think.

Black Lives Matter started during the Obama Administration. It’s like they dont want to acknowledge that

imagine thinking that the dixiecrat segregationist added to the Obama ticket to reassure racists would respond better than Obama did by calling them "thugs"

I am also in the boat of "lets allow both parties to shit the bed so just maybe people will have to realize the system is beyond broken. I live in a hard-blue state so my vote absolutely doesnt matter but the "if you dont like whats going on, just vote Democrat" argument needs to go away

They already did shit the bed. People forgive the material conditions during the first Obama years because he “inherited a mess” or whatever. It will be the same with Biden, but more so. Libs will just forgive him for whatever happens in the next four years and blame it on Trump. They will never stop talking about Trump.

Some reasons why it was so easy for libs to forgive Obama:

        1. He's incredibly charismatic.
        2. The closest thing to an organized left in 2008 was the progressives who coalesced around his campaign, who he immediately demobilized.
        3. He was able to pass some signature legislation, including at least some attempt to unfuck healthcare and some attempt to address the economy.
        4. The most prominent attacks against him were mixed with a heavy dose of overt racism.

Each of these things either gave libs some credible reason to excuse Obama or made it more difficult to effectively criticize him from the left. Biden doesn't have any of this, and would take office in a country facing worse material conditions than it did in 2008.

Most of the vocal centrists on twitter haven't had their life negatively affected by Trump at all. The Dems will like give them back their SALT deductions, change nothing else, and they'll be happy.

I think if the protests continue like they have been or even more so then that veil will lift even more for a lot of people. The empire is dying and now all that imperialism is finally turning inward. Police state is increasing, fueled by racism, in a settler colonial state, inside the imperial core of the world. People were so fed up with neoliberal policies that they elected a guy who was a famous, globally recognized, “billionaire”, Tv show host, businessman, because everything is so transactional and marketed to us under individual consumerism and every man for himself that we think that a company or business is how the world works. They wouldn’t even give up the economy to save us and fucking not let almost 200,000 people die or give us more than a single stimulus check that a huge chunk of people didn’t or couldn’t receive. And if Biden does win, he isn’t going to let Trump go to any sort of federal prison. Hell get pardoned and there will be outrage but it will die out.

    TL;dr: Death to America

    It finally happened to me!

I just got off the phone with my aunt, who called me in a huff when she heard from my mom that I'm not voting for Biden. She asked me why I wouldn't vote for him with the same tone you would use to ask someone why he shit his pants. She went off about how she's seen friends waste their votes on people like Ross Perot before, how I'm clearly just parroting "far-left talking points," how I'm going to be responsible for everything Trump does in his second term if he wins again, how only a landslide victory in the popular vote will be enough to keep Trump from going full dictator on election night. As if dictators ever gave a shit about votes in the first place?

There was so much more I wanted to say, but she cut me off and said she would send me some "very persuasive articles" that she expects me to read by next week.

Long story short, I want Biden to win at this point just so I can point out to her and all the other libshits in my life that Biden isn't any sort of solution. I've been hearing for months about how Nancy Pelosi is the brave leader of "the resistance" and how Elizabeth Warren was the smart choice from these people. They can all go fuck themselves.

Why do we keep quoting chuds to back up our points? Can't we make our own points without these right wing ghouls making them for us?
