well what if your sister goes to arizona and gets pregnant and needs an abortion?

I would simply not move to Arizona. Mostly because of climate change, but that's a good reason too.

One of my friends' grandmothers is a pentecostal, which is one of the sects that does the "speaks in tongues" thing. Apparently her favorite riff is to go "RRRRRRUUMBA" with very rolled r's. Now I go "RRRRRUMBA" to myself sometimes when I am alone lmao.

I really don't get the "speaking in tongues" thing. Wasn't the part of the bible where "speaking in tongues" was mentioned was that the holy spirit entered the disciples and enabled them to speak in other tongues so they could communicate Jesus' message to people?

It was literally them being able to speak actual languages. Not this baby-babble nonsense.

It really is just a bunch of weird ass people hyping themselves up to speak literal nonsense, it's really creepy. I remember seeing everyone around me at one point wailing to the sky in nonsense and thinking something might have been wrong with me for not being able to do it 💀

religious excitation is wack. it's hard for me to look away.

there's this YouTube grifter guy that sells subscriptions to his list of people he "prays over" and also sells PDFs of instructions on how to make holy water to spray on oneself, around the house and neighborhood to cast out demons, etc. he posts literally everyday and has all these near gibberish verbal tics that fire off. comes across as very much a "drinking your own kool-aid" kind of situation.

in a better society these people would be diagnosed and treated instead of allowed to exploit others, cause trauma, or in the case of AZ, apparently run the statehouse.

I hope at least one of them hits their head on something and dies.
